What one should I get? A Tracfone, T-Mobile, Cricket etc... any details on the phones would also be nice.
Thanks!

TracFone all the way. First of all, there is a misconception about TracFones. They are just as capable and cool as "regular" cellphones. You can get ones with all the features of the latest cellphone. I still use a TracFone that I received from Christmas of 2004. It has all the 2004 features (text messaging, 3-way calling, speed dial, voice dial, games, alarm, voice privacy, etc.). There are new phones that don't have some of the features that mine has. In addition, buying a TracFone would be easier on your wallet and your schedule. They are pay-as-you-go and there are no contracts, activation is FREE, and you can purchase minutes at a participating store OR online. Find out more at the link below.

I think you mean "pay as you go".

I have a virgin phone.

The salesgirl convinced me when she told me that if you buy $10 worth of calls on virgin - you get $10 worth of calls. Many other providers make you pay a "fee" - so $10 might only get you $8 worth of calls.

The one thing I didn't realize - is that my phone can't get any email. Which is a drag.

Everything you could get at wal mart is pre-paid and they are a complete waste of money unless you use them STRICTLY for emergencies. save your money and get a real phone with a plan.

tracphone is a load of garbage. We bought way too many cards and it was even long distance for people to call. It was a total waste of money.
