There are three meanings to life that most religions and people can agree on:
1: Make things better
Whether you do this for God, mother nature, fellow human, or yourself is debatable, just try to improve the world around you.
2: Learn
This ties into the first, make something of your brain, don't just use the bare minumum. What is life if you don't know what's happening in the world and how you can fix it? Life is only important if you can win an arguement intelligently and peacefully.
3: Don't worry, Be happy
In every life we have some trouble
But when you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy.
Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style
Ain't got no gal to make you smile
Don't worry, be happy.
'Cause when you worry your face will frown
And that will bring everybody down
Don't worry, be happy.

no one knows the true answer.
we were all put on this earth to do something that serves some purpose. were meant for anything.
but will never know.
i think someone was bored and thought it would be fun to create a civilization that starts off slow and works its way to become advance but at the same time created violence and war and global warming..mostly pollution that harms the planet. and they thought it would be fun for a civilization to go to its climax and then crumple into nothing. and the world will diminish soon.
the end is near!
aids
war
global warming
driving a hibred car, waring a condom and protesting against violence isn't gonna stop anything. the purpose of life is to live and die.

the purpose of life in general is to extend and create more life through procreation and even asexual reproduction. that applies to all life at all levels, both animals and plants and bacteria. the purpose of life has altered a bit for us humans, even though the above still is a major factor.
but generally speaking the purpose of life for humans is to learn, enjoy, love, create, explore, expand, procreate, then teach, and reflect, and all the while bing a good steward of the planet so that your progeny and thiers and theirs and theirs have a chance. But that last part I fear has been neglected or overlooked since the industrial revolution, so blame it on my great great grandparents, and yours.

The purpose of life is to live it with passion and love to the world. Each one of us has a mission and it could be revealed within us in due time and its one of the little purposes of life.
As humans, we are to live life with passion and love. Passion to carry all the challenges that we may have face. Love to be part of the lives of many people and to find happiness within it. Life is all but happiness as the end point and passion and love are essential to achieve it.

It seems to be different for everybody. If you believe in God and that there's something more to this life after death, then you've got A LOT to live for because there's lots to unravel, lots of people to tell, lots of things to think about and a lot of fun to have. You have a future beyond death to strive for and it's very exciting.
If you believe you exist only to evolve for 60 years, work at a job, tend to a family, eat, sleep and breath, then, sadly, you live for very little.

I think I totally agree with Bubbles. We were created in HIS image to serve and love him and to live a Godly life. The rest is just fun along the way.
