Since all perfect squares are whole numbers, then D "U" E is the same as D.

Thank you sinanissa, I corrected my error.

D = { 0, 1, 2, 3, 4,......}
E = {1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81}

The union of sets D and E is the set of whole numbers or the set of perfect squares less than 100 or the whole numbers that are perfect squares less than 100.

Every member of E is in D. That is, every perfect square less than 100 is a whole number.

Answer:
D"U"E = D
D"U"E = a whole number

What happened to F?

D U E is silly. Perfect squares are, by definition, whole numbers.

D U E = D
