My friend's mom called it 'sheep's breath', but I can't find it under that name on the internet. It look like a 3-leaf clover, but smoother and the leaflets are kind of heart-shaped. It has little yellow flowers, and tastes kind of lemony.

Only lemony one I eat is lemon thyme, but that doesn't seem to fit the leafs. Try asking the Atl. Botanical Garden at

Sounds a lot like Oxalis or wood sorrel. While they are tasty in an occasional salad, I read that the oxalic acid that makes them taste sour can be damaging over time.

Wood sorrel, Oxalis stricta. Wonderful stuff.
