I'm going to write a fiction story, and I need a name for the main female character. I'm still working on her personality, but she is going to have long dark hair and green eyes, if that helps.

I was thinking of naming her Bree, Brie, or Bri. Which spelling do you like the best? Or would you suggest another name? (A unique name, please.)

I didn't know that Bri, Bree, or Bri is the name of a cheese...interesting.

Well, I just want an easy to pronounce name that people will remember. For example, when I hear "Hermoine", I think of Harry Potter.

Well if you are considering the names Bree, Brie, or Bri and would like it to be unique, then I would suggest Brielle. It is a French name that is not heard often. Just a thought, good luck!

I use two sites to pick names.

http://www.behindthename.com/

for first names and

the US Census Bureau for surnames

This site has the Census Bureau list too

Brie is a very overused name right now. I see it in so many books. Why not use the name Bree is short for ? Sabrina?

You have a long way to go developing her personality and fleshing her out - long hair and green eyes tells me nothing.

Mmmm, now I'm hungry for cheese.

Well, it's best to choose one that readers will pronounce correctly. Bree is the best for that.

Some other unique names:

I like greek gods and goddesses.... take a page from JK Rowling and look for someone in mythology that has similar characteristics and use their name (or a take on it...) here's a few I found that seem interesting.

Ambrosia
Hestia
Demeter

Good luck!
