Do snails eat plants? I was growing a plant in my fishtank, and I think the snail was eating my plant. Damn snail.

That will depend on the type of snail you have. Some will eat aquarium plants, others don't.

I've been into fresh and salt water fish for about 20 yrs. I've never seen a store bought variety snail ever eat anything but algae. It's probably something else. Maybe a water turtle or something but I've never seen a snail eat plants.

Snails are great for eating algae, but be careful that they don't multiply, because they will.

no, they will eat the slime off of the plant, but not the plant itself, unless it is a moss type plant then it thinks it is algae.
