trying to replace windows95 - windows/me

After installing Windows, IMMEDIATELY install the motherboard chipset drivers, drivers of onboard devices like LAN, sound and VGA and the drivers of devices that you attach on the graphics port, PCI slots or USB slots. Afterwards, you can install your softwares.

Works for me flawlessly all the time in my laptops and desktops.

You mean you took out the hard drive and installed a new one? You still need to use the Windows disc to install Windows on it

you need to format the harddrive - you will need a boot disk (if installing windows 95 or ME) and type fdisk.exe at the a: then set your partitions, etc. and then reboot to format the drive using the dos command "format c:" then hit enter

- then install windows, then your motherboard drivers, do windows updates, then your other software.
