has political speech gone to far? doesnt everyone have the right to free speech..plus, he said he apologized for his remarks and made amends..shouldnt he still have his job?

Free speech doesn't mean you are completely free from consequences, it simply means the government can't throw you in jail for speaking your mind.

Would Isaac Washington have been upset if a white or gay co-worker called him a racial slur?

this is because of the fact he's black, i assume freedom of speech isn't an element those days anymore? What Don Imus has to do with this??!! Don Imus suggested something racial, not an opinion some sexuality. Racism and Discrimination are 2 seperate subjects altogether. a number of you information superhighway retards might desire to think of in the previous you communicate. Homosexuality is incorrect, this is selfish heathonism, go seem that up for me, LOL.

No he shouldn't. As a black person, I think justice was served, he did the same thing Imus and Rush did so he should get the same treatment. I feel GREAT that he was fired. No reverse discrimination.

I don't think he's going without a fight. Hopefully another network will pick him up - he's a good actor (from what I've seen)
