As for Esposito, I liked that pick... I mean, the kid was touted to be number one the year before last, but last year he had some kind of strange off season. I'm not going to say how valuable he is until I've seen on the ice in a Penguins jersey though, sorry. As for Crosby---what ego?
Thanks to Bob for pointing out the D prospects situation.
Puck, you are absolutely right in former answers when you've said that the Pens don't have any spectacular leaders among our defense. Gonchar is Geno's translator and landlord though. Lol.
What I'm really worried about is whether or not Fleury will come through, but he will in the end. I think he's a quick learner and with every year of being the starting goalie, his confidence will build so that he's solid every game.
But...the Pens have some pretty good goalie prospects anyway. Ray Shero continues to impress me in all his works as GM. We're very fortunate to have a lot of great things going on over here.

First of all crosby doesnt have an ego and is strictly a team players. He even said he would take a decreased salary so that they could keep the team together. Staal and esposito will be stars in pittsburgh but the only one im worried about is malkin. He like other europeans might decide he wants more money or a new scenery.

Well Crosby as the team captain will make sure that egos won't get in the way of team success. So no it won't be a problem as for affording the players that may present some problems but I think this team will stay together because look at other players who followed the money, most of them went to teams that still can't get it right. I may raise the ire of some but I think they will act like the new england patriots in that aspect. They will stay with the pens because of their upside. Besides they can get plenty of money with endorsements too.

in the new nhl u cant create a dynasty its just too hard unless u sign some players for long term contracts and espisito has had ego problems in the past so it might end up in less production but since hes playing with crosby there shouldnt be a problem since he passes so much and guys love that and he'll start to pass bak more often

Well isn't the question more about will they have the time to really clash? I mean with the salary cap and the talent these guys will be wanted by quite a few teams. Will the Pens be able to afford them/will they want to stay in the 'burgh? That's part of why I don't see ego problems. If they stay together it is more because they want to be together.

Esposito isn't the flavour of the month he used to be, but I am sure he is still a fine player and the future is bright for the Pens.

Wait until their 2 stud Dmen arrive. Kris Letang is going to be great IMO. Egos usually clash on losing teams and when winning it solves everything and and makes everyone happy. I see alot of winning in their future and they seem to be good character guys anyway. Crosby is VERY humble.

no. sidney plays more agressively (i know shocker), and is better with the puck. the thrashers will like him, hopefully they give him some ice time, or call him up from their farm. and also about hateful questions. can you just post something controversial in the soccer section about how ronaldo and rooney have man hugs whenever they score and that there is no need for those young men to take off their shirts, ever, and that drogba is the worst soccer player ever for being a repeat offender for diving and playing dirty. and if you know any european slang add it in.

I sense a team like Edmonton coming on but the club needs some serious help on D. There's no doubt they will score goals by the bushel.

I think this is a definite posibility
A big part depends on how far they will listen to Mario
Mario is the man, and he will make them into men
Whether or not they can afford to keep them all for a long time... another story.
Did i mention, Mario is the key?
