The question is concerned about those groups who are terrorizing a country or rebelling against a government or just simply fighting for their beliefs and interests.

Where are they getting those guns/riffle/munitions/rocket-launchers/grenades/etc?

- These armaments are PRODUCED mostly by the countries that are members of the UN.
- And these are mostly sold for the Governments Army. (small caliber for private use - security purpose)
- To give an example, in Palestine, many YEARS have passed and still FIGHTING is present, WHERE/HOW the "armed groups" there gets their arms? Does Palestine have a Factory for these things?

(Note: nothing against Palestine. Another example could be elsewhere, like in Sudan etc.)

I am asking the question of WHERE, since I believe, those sources are partly accountable to the "WARS" that are happening.

Imagine, they can BLOCK supply of FOOD to a country but not those ARMS?

It really depends on the group you are talking about.

In the Middle East, Hamas is armed and supported by Iran while Hezbollah recieves arms and money from Syria - this is documented and even the Palestinians admit it.

In the Sudan, it is believed that that the militias are recieving arms from the Sudanese goverment to help them fight the rebels.

In most other places, the weapons are purchased on the black market, the money usually comes from drug trafficking, kidnappings for ransom and theft (banks, etc.).

While the rebels do not have the factories, there are plenty of poor countries that have the capabilities to produce weapons and will sell them on the black market as a way of getting rich - they then pass the money on to their to supporters and thus ensure their loyalty and ar e able to remain dictators wothout threat of a coup.

There are also many groups that recieve weapons directly from governments - the U.S. armed the Contras, as well as the Taliban when they fought hte Russians. Also, many rebel groups include breakaway parts of the army that just steal the weapons when they revolt.

There are also many people who are just greedy and are willing to sell weapons to anyone - they purchase them from Governments for legitamite reasons - say to arm security guards - but they purchase more then they really need and sell them.

It varies by group depending on who htey are fighting.

The arms trade is in control of the world. Eisenhower in the 1950s warned that the military/industrial complex is the biggest threat to world peace.
If there was not a widespread use of weapons the corporations would go out of business.
In the 1980s when the Taliban were fighting the Russians in Afghanistan , Reagan gave them 1,000 ground to air missiles to shoot down Russian helicopter. 500 of those are still out there waiting to be used.

Arms are underground item. Just like drugs are here. The government tries to stop the flow of drugs here but they cannot...why? because drugs are not sold in stores in the regular fashion...where the cops can come in and close up a shop. Drugs/arms are sold by individuals with connections to others who have connections to others and so on.

Well, Hamas for instance, is funded heavily by Iran. That's where they get money and arms from.
