I saw this when I was 9 and I still absolutely hate clowns with a passion. I saw it a couple of weeks ago for a second time and I really didn't like it. It wasn't how I had remembered it.
What do you think of the movie?

The book is a lot better than the movie. It includes a lot of added details and even a ton of side-plots that the movie never even touched on. Also, the book has a lot more adult-themed content that wouldn't have been possible for a TV movie, as it was originally aired. You should check it out. As far as movies losing their flair from what you remember, I totally agree with you. I used to be scared of Pennywise the Clown from "It" and a bunch of other horror movies that I look back on now and they're so awful. The same thing goes for the cartoons I grew up with. "Thundercats" felt so violent and awesome at the time, and now I look back at it and it's so watered down and the animation is nowhere as good as it seemed at the time.

the movie was interesting but way too long. The clown with the teeth was cool and people use "Penny Wise" the clown to explain their hate for clowns but I think clowns are actually hated because they're always coming at you and looking for someone in the crowd to harass. Plus, they have those big feet man...geeez

IT the movie still freaks me out seen it about 15 years ago,anty Steven King Movies or Books are excellent!

I first saw that movie when I was about 10 and it terrified me. I got older and became a huge Tim Curry fan and actually didn't even realize he was Pennywise. So I re-watched it and thought the only convincing part of the movie was Curry's performance. It's cheesy now, but it scared me as a kid..

HAte the Clown, love the actor, Tim Curry, one of Holliwoods great underrated actors.

Steven King has always made good movies,whatever movie he makes i like to watch it because i know its gone to be a good one and my son loved the movie IT he laughs at the clowns.he saids they're funny.

I loved it. For a made for TV movie, I thought it was excellent and brilliantly done.
And after hearing so many people say they hated clowns after watching that movie, I'd say it was done right.
Of course, the book is better.

I love that movie. I watched it on repeat for 2 weeks before, it is an awesome movie. I have it on dvd. I love pennywise

When I was a kid it was scary but now the movie is so stupid and I am like why was i so scared. I used to be scared of Freddy and Chucky the doll but they are funny to me now.

I love this movie it is funny and scary but i think this because i like scary movies lol this is one of my favorites
