Refresh is a browser function

One would not be hitting Refresh on a 3D MMO game
or while listening to internet radio etc

Staying logged into a internet site can vary by site
some log off inactives to conserve bandwidth
or log them off to protect thier account information
from hackers

If you are using a dial up connection the lack of KEYSTROKES will cause you to loose your connection
A REAL PAIN if playing a mouse only game online

If you are surfing to a website where you DONT log in with a name and password and are loosing the page access
when you click on some pagelink only one possible
explanation
SPYWARE

Sometimes you can get INFO on the INFECTION
open the BROWSER (IE or other) let it sit idle for
at least 2 minutes then go to startbar and shutdown
computer. You should get message
UNABLE to SHUTDOWN (write down the name)
example would be
Unable to Terminate MCCDDFV
although its not all that is involved in the SPYWARE
it may shed some light on what type of SPYWARE
you have on PC

There are many Free online scans avail
some say FREE but you have to download it
and then after the scan they remove nothing
unless you BUY the program

Spybot is FREE 100% but is not as good for NEWER
problems as AVG which has a 100% FREE version

good luck if it is spyware it can be a all day affair removing the problem

Sorry I don't understand what the problem is. If you lost your internet connection, hitting the refresh key could get very boring.

Need more info to help you.

if using dial up call the phone company have them check your phone line. Also your modem could be going out. If cable or dsl could be server issues or network traffic on a Friday night.
