Many of the things you cite have no bearing. You cite a "historian" who was born 25 years after the Jesus death? That does not sound like a witness to me. If you want to infer "truth" by effectiveness, I guess Kim Jong Il must really be a god. I mean, he said so and millions believe it. How about sung yong moon? Joseph Smith? And most of Josephus' "description" has been found to be Christian insertions over a hundred years later. Did Jesus exist? I'm sure of it. The question is who was he and what did he do. If it helps, his original followers, the Nazarenes (and led by Jesus' brother James) rejected Paul and his version of the Gospels as heresy. The Nazarenes said: No miracles, No Divinity, No Trinity (Actually, even Paulines said that for the first few hundred years), No "new covenant," No end of regular Judaism. Heck, they got along quite well with the Pharisees for a long long time. And one thing we know from contemporary historians, there is no way the Gospels description of Pilate was correct. Pilate was not worried about or influenced by Jews. Pilate was (by contemporary Non-Jewish accounts) a bloodthirsty tyrant who crucified so many Jews there was a shortage of wood. He slaughtered so many Jews, he almost got recalled to Rome for fear he would destroy the local economy and their ability to pay taxes. He regularly shocked and terrorized the Jews, initiating confrontations and then killing them by the thousands. One example was seizing Temple money and using it to build an idol. Then, he had his men (carrying hidden weapons) join the protest mob. They whipped out their weapons killed them all. Peace. PS: the alleged Jesus references in the Talmud do not refer to your Jesus. If you say "Bill was here," it is important to know whether you mean bill clinton, bill dobson, or billy the kid. They describe the Jesus they refer to and it is someone who lived about 100 years earlier. So, either they are someone else or Jesus lived 100 years earlier and never lived in the same period of pilate...

Jerry Crawford, course he's only famous within a 3 county radius. I wouldn't even know about him if he hadn't of had that incident with the watermelon and shampoo bottle.
