My daughter loves orange foods. She loves carrots, squash, sweet potatoes ..anything orange. She used to like to eat green veggies, but she hasn't been eating them lately when I try to feed them to her. She does eat lots of other food that are different colors, but a lot of orange stuff. any suggestions?

Nope!! Happened to me as a baby, 30 years later happened to my daughter. My pediatrician and my daughter's agreed - no danger.

Just lay off the carrots around picture time... they do make for a strange portrait!!!

A baby's skin will turn orange because of the beta-carotene in veggies and fruits. Believe it or not, non-orange veggies also have beta-carotene so even if she would be eating non-orange veggies she would still turn orange. Its completely normal and pretty much all babies go through it.

The following foods are particularly rich in carotene:

Sweet potatoes
carrots
kale
spinach
turnip greens
winter squash
collard greens
cilantro
fresh thyme

I had the same thing happen to me when I was a baby. The doctor said it was harmless, but to try to eat some different foods as well.

i would ask your doctor
i wouldnt feed your child enough to turn them orange though
and i have never seen a orange child so i would say it isnt normal
my neice eats ALOT of orange foods also and has NEVER looked orange
i would go get your child checked out
r u sure she doesnt have jaundice
best of luck

Cut down on the orange. I don't think it will hurt him but I'm not positive.
