Toshiba. light weight, easy not too expensive. $1000 with warnity virus protection and spysweeper at best buy. easy to understand, great custemer support.

In My opinion the best laptop brand is DELL they are lightweight, user-friendly, durable, and cool looking. but a good laptop can also cost alot of money so you should compare the specs and also compare prices.

Dell Inspiron series, good all round laptops, reliable and reasonably priced. You can also custom build them as you order.

Try at bestbuy.com they have all major brands for great prices, i recommend HP or Vaio.

i have Gateway.. it was $1100 including everything...
its very lightweight.. and stylish..
doesn't heat up quickly.. good battery life

definetly not acer. i heard macs are wonderful, but hard to fix when they break.
