The Aztecs were the native people in Central America. The Spaniards traveled from Spain to the Americas and conquered them. The term Conquistadors is the Spanish word used to describe the Spaniards of the time.

tHE AZTECS were the tribe that was located in central mexico ( present day mexico city) in North America.
While the spaniards( Spanish) were fervent catholics the aztecs religion consisted of many gods and goddesses and human sacrificing. WHen the spaniards under cortes conquered mexico in 1519..they conquered the aztecs.

Spaniards were native Europeans, and Aztecs were native to Central America. Spaniards came over and beat up on the Aztecs. They're enemies, not the same at all.

Spainiards come from Spain, a country in the south of Europe. Aztecs were a people who lived in central/south america and were led by Montezuma II, the last leader of the Aztecs. Cortez (a Spainiard) although greatly outnumbered, overthrough the Aztecs and murdered Montezuma in 1520 with the help of some neighboring tribes. Aztecs are belived to be the decendants of humans who migrated from Asia accross the Beiring straight and into the Americas 20,000 + years ago when the Beiring sea was much lower and you could actually walk accross.

Gee, well, Spaniards came from Spain; Aztecs were a tribe of Indians living in the Americas.
Spaniards were far more blood thirsty; they did everything for "God, gold, and glory" but mostly for gold. Compared to the Aztecs, they were rude, crude, revolting, did not practise sanitation. Aztecs were savage, using human sacrifices to obtain the blessings of their various gods to ensure good crops, fertility of the womb, good crops, success in war, everything. The Spaniards raped Indian women (even the priests used Indian women for sex slaves, saying it was not a "sin" because the Indians were not human!)
So, between the two awful sides, I would choose the Aztecs; they were more "Christian" than the Spaniards.

Well, for one, the Spaniards lived. Many of the Aztecs died in the invasion / subjugation / plagues brought on by the Spaniards.

Two totally different cultures and dialects. Aztec's practiced killing for sacrifice to keep the gods happy. And only took captives of war for sacrifice. Spaniards just wanted to expand an empire and Spread Catholicism.
