I've been looking for a free mmorpg but can't find a good one.
if someone can advise a good free mmorpg please answer. I wouldn't mind buying a cd just no monthly fees.
I've already tried:
9 dragons
Fly For Fun
Anarchy Online
Deicide Online
Hero
Knight Online
Maple Story
RuneScape
Conquer
and some others I can't remember.
I never had a chance to actuallyu played Anarchy because a a number of problems with dowloads if you've actually played it would you recommend it?

Try rubies of eventide. (www.rubiesofeventide.com)

It's got like 140 character classes you can choose from and several races you can be. It's true 3-d graphics and is FREE to play! (Screenshots http://www.rubiesofeventide.com/screenshots.html )

Not like FLYFF or rapplez where if you want to progress you have to buy things out of their store with real money.. there's no hidden agenda, it's actually free.

And the graphics are much better than the other games I've tried like runescape and maplestory. Some people are easy to please I guess.. they play those :)

Anyway.. there is also several different types of crafting and mining, etc. Lots to do and places to explore. It's a reall fun game.

There aren't a bunch of idiots on it either .. well, depending on the server you choose anyway (the "anything goes" servers are just that) since there are constantly GMs online that moderate the chat, etc.

It's free so give it a try. If you happen to be on the phoenix server, whisper Rapscallion to say hi!

First I'm going to tell you about the browser based MMORPGs (but that may be rather useless, since you don't seem the type who play it), then I'll mention somewhere you can see the downloadable.
To play games in flash, there are Dragon Fable and Adventure Quest (In both you have to pay to have full access to the game, and notice that Dragon Fable is still under construction and that it's hard for non-members to login into AQ). There are also those community based flash games (that some people consider to be MMORPGs) that are becoming really popular: Gaia Online (that I already played and that is really cool), ClubPenguin, PuzzlePirates, and i think that Habbo goes the same way; in all of this games you create an avatar and play games like fishing to get money and personalize those avatars.
There’s also the pure browser based ones: Tibia is a fairly popular game, BiteFight and Knightfight are OK. Travian is a strategy MMOG, also pretty good. There’s also pokemon crater (but it has a lots of publicity) and, my personal favorite, FallenSword (it's interface is much like pokemoncrater, but it's a dungeon crawler. It also doesn’t have lots of publicity like pokemon crater, and has a guild system that stimulate interaction and stamina restrictions that allow players that don't have much time to remain competitive, not to mention the lottery and the auction system).
The downloadable... well, i think it's harder to speak about them. I'll also give you a link for the "List of free MMORPGs" on wikipedia, where you can see the downloadable games out there (in this list you can read about other browser based MMORPGs as well). Take a look at the websites and check the screenshots, maybe you'll find some that interest you. My favorites are MapleStory, Anarchy Online, Monsters and Me, Trickster Online, Flyff and Silk Road (and you seem to have played most of them). Seems like Rappelz is also pretty good, it was released recently - it's a last generation 3D MMORPG.
Talk about last generation, there are also some really good free downloadable MMORPGs coming out: Sword of the new world (a.k.a. Granado Espada, where you can control up to three characters at once - but you'll have to pay so that you can get over a certain level) and the global version of Lunia (it's still on closed beta, but will soon come out - keep an eye on it).
See you.

Check out the free mmorpg list: http://gamelist.mmosite.com/?op=fee&key=free it's too much for you to read so here comes my opinion

2moons: http://feature.mmosite.com/2moons

One of the most anticipated free MMORPG right now, it suppose to come out at the end of July.

Granado Espada: http://feature.mmosite.com/granadoespada

IMO it's the best free MMORPG so far, don't need to explain more just take a look.

Voyage Century: http://feature.mmosite.com/voyagecentury

A sailing type MMORPG, haven't played a lot but worth a shot.

Perfect World: http://feature.mmosite.com/perfectworld/

Closed Beta now, Perfect World is a full-feature 3D online game that is based on rich Chinese mythology and set in the world of Pangu, with entire generations of gods that paved the way for the creation of great civilizations.

Cabal Online: http://feature.mmosite.com/cabalonline/

Just turn out to be free to play coulpe weeks ago, don't miss the chance.

Trickster Online: http://feature.mmosite.com/tricksteronline

Another cartoonish MMORPG, nice community and ingame stuff.

Age of Armor: http://feature.mmosite.com/ageofarmor

Gundam type mmorpg, closed beta test just started several days ago, gfx is awesome from what I have seen. If you are a robot-theme fans, it might be your best shot.

IMO Anarchy Online is really good at the old ages, but its kinda outdate.

I enjoy both fantasy and FPS games. But at the moment, fantasy game Knight Online is my favorite. Free download and play but can buy Knight online items for benefits. It’s usually quite full with people but very addictive so it’s expected. Leveling and hunting is so fun, and the party system is really good.
