Why do we judge so harsh?

I think the world is coming to a stand still because everyone judges really harsh ( then again not as harsh a couple years ago)
but still, what are your thoughts?

I wonder if we would be better served to let the poser be an example for a while rather then test everyone. I think there is a branch of personal ethics that should cover this. The guff of society. Why let it rule?

Many people put others down because they don't feel good about themselves. They are so quick to judge, even when they probably don't know the whole story on who they are judging, and even if they do; well, they have no right to judge. People need to look inside themselves and see what they can do to improve themselves and leave other people alone. I believe in "live and let live," and I find that I am so much happier than most anyone else around me. I don't care what the latest gossip is, I don't care that Paris Hilton is in Jail, I don't care who is sleeping with who in Hollywood, I don't care what kind of car my neighbor just bought, I don't care that some people lay around in the sun all day on their yachts while I work two jobs to support myself. I get up every day, look out the window at the sun and smile, thank God that I have those two jobs to support myself, thank God that I am healthy and have lots of friends and family and a good life. If only everyone felt this way, the whole world would be happier.

people do care to much about their images and their weight and their style. Yeah it's nice to try and look good but I think that has become the focus of our life when it shouldn't be. The focus of our lives should be God. Because if everyone focuses on him everything else will come. Everything like kindness humbleness and all the other good thing our world needs like that.

people should not judge, but since you did not give an example i will lay a few things out there....some people tell it like it is and sometime the word of God judges us... and i make no apology for that .....some one who have been down the road you are going can pretty much tell you what will happen i think it is all out of love.....i could be wrong you decide

Being able to judge gives a person the feeling of superiority so they tend to judge harsher than those who don't.

Yea i agree. people these days are pretty harsh, especially in schools. People are just have to give a comment about everything, dont they!

I attribute it to either/or thinking. You're good or bad. Friendly or unfriendly. Smart or stupid. Black and white. Instead, if we thought in finer shades we would understand the complexities of everyone.

It is the way we have been taught to do, maybe not by our parents but certainly by others who have made some sort of impact or influence on our life.

Because nobody (and i say that lightly) gives a rat's butt about other ppl anymore. We need more ppl who will give others the time of day.
