I've heard through the grapevine that store managers at starbucks only make around 40K (which is awful in my opinion). I just wanted to make sure my sources are correct. I applied at Starbucks to be a store manager before I did the resarch and I put down salary expectation to be 60K and I thought I was low-balling it. Oops. Oh well if they really do pay store managers that low then I'm better off where i'm at.

It's 50k-58k(depending on length of time with starbucks, experience, and wether or not you hold a degree) and bonuses, tuition coverage, stock options, free pound of coffee per week, and up to 5 weeks paid vacation per year depending on how long you've been there(you start with 3 weeks) and also sick pay. Yearly reviews with 2.5 to 5% raises. I've been there 6 years....just turned 27, no degree yet, but working on it with FREE TUITION at ASU through starbucks, I was just promoted to manager and was started at 53.5k with 5 weeks paid vacation, and 6 paid holidays. Once I have a degree there is more room for growth. District managers make 80k-100k

One manager said she made around $54,000 with 5 yrs at Starbucks. I am sure some locations will pay more or less depending on the labor market.

You also get stock options so factor that into your benefits.

Here is a Starbucks gossip site.

Management pay varies on your experience level, your location and the type of manager you are.

For example, as an average an Assistant Manager can expect to make between $27,000 and $37,000. A General Manager can expect to make around $40,000-$60,000 + bonus. I know some restaurants who pay $100,000 for General Managers, but again you have to have proved yourself worthy.

Don't cut the restaurant biz short when it comes to paychecks. If you work hard and prove yourself, you can make some darn good money - even at a Starbucks!

Most store managers at Wendy's, McDonald's, Tim Horton, etc. make between $30,000 to $40,000 range. Some of them have profit sharing and stock options. I think Starbucks pay their managers about $40,000 as well.

$40k is bad for managing a Starbucks? They sell coffee!!! It's not rocket science, they aren't going to be making top dollar.

I doubt Starbucks pays managers $40k. I'd guesstimate it's closer to $30k.
