i recently got a gateway laptop with a nvida Geforce GO 6100 graphics card and loaded with windows vista home edition. it is suopposed to handle gaming well but when i ran a PC game on it (battlefield 2) , after a few hours of gameplay the computer closed out the program . what could it be ? i was playing online when it happened . i am very upset because its a brand spanking new laptop and it hardley has any programs on it to begin with ,so it should have no problem what-so-ever running ONE freaking game ! i need help ! i am calling for all you computer genuises out there to give me your opinion for what it could be .

I hate to disappoint you but Geforce Go 6100 can NOT handle new games well. It is just integrated graphics that share from system RAM. It has ONLY 2 pixel and 1 vertex shaders. It can only do a measly 630 Marks in 3D Mark 05. Check this list, it is near the bottom of the heap, #64:

I'm surprised you were even able to startup BF2 at all.

It might be that you laptop doesn't have enough memory. it might need at least 1024 of ram or higher.
