I was at an apple store today, talking with a Mac rep about the computer. And I must say I was impressed and after seeing and learning about all the features. I want it right now. But I don't know if this true or not. But is there going to be a new MacBook Pro coming out within the next year. I don't want to drop over 2 G's for some technology that would be old/outdated within a year. I asked the Mac guy and he quickly said No that this is the newest and just came out few months ago. I think he was referring to the latest version of MacBookPro. I think he really wanted a sell more than telling me the truth or what he knew. But if anyone has any information about a new MacBook Pro. Could you please post the links so I can read about it?
I hope its not a rumor like the so called touchscreen iPod that should have been came out. Please help me and post links.

The only thing you can do is keep watching sites like MacRumors, etc. for any info. They just updated them to Santa Rosa and LED backlights, so it might be a while.
p.s. Although the touch screen iPod hasn't come out yet, it's a definite that it will. Apple is just working in the iPhone launch first. It's simply a matter of time before they update the video iPod to essentially an iPhone...but without the phone part.

Well the macbook pro just recently did come out.. Im getting mine tommorw... and trust me i have the same feelings you do.. There shouldent be a new one coming out..
1. because this one just came out
2. They just switched to intel proccesors (What more can they change)
3. Iphone is coming out.. what time will they have to make modification's to the macbook line?!

the new ones with the santa rosa platfrom just came out so there will not be any upgrades to it 4 a while. wait until the fall until the new operating system 10.5 comes out.
