I received some P&S "fanmail" from someone who didn't like my answer. I can't remember what I said and I never will since the question was deleted. Here are her e-mails:

Subject: bowling question

Message: I just finished writing to Yahoo Q&A telling them what a disappointing answer you gave to my question. Your ten points voted by eight people only shows the decline in morals in our society, and it definitely was not a good answer, it wasn't even an answer. I was most disappointed in you. Just "my" opinion.

Subject: Re: bowling question

Message: for crying out loud....you would have given me a star to make your comment stand out more, your immoral comment be a best answer to be published ....huh? adding insult to injury? Seems you still don't get it.

Anyway, Yahoo deleted it of their own volition, not me. I asked them what they thought of your comment. I guess they didn't like it. either.

Wow, has anyone else been the wrath of rage like this. Give me your story!

I blocked this chick, but I think I'll undo it to see how far this goes.

The funny thing was 8 people voted it Best Answer. It wasn't like I was the only one who thought it was funny.
To think she wanted a straight answer in P&S!!

I sent her the link to this question.
Maybe she'll reply so we can know the rest of the story.

Kurt, you bring up an interesting point. I never received a violation notice, so she must have lied and deleted the question herself.

Message: I guess you don't understand the Q&A is advertised as being a place where people can get ingelligent answers. You have children, you should know that children are viewing the responses. And you seem to forget Yahoo didn't like your sex response to a reasonable question. The only thing I lack is the ability to block your sad butt. You are so rude and crude maybe you should go blog or something rather than be on an intelligent Yahoo Q&A program.

I'm surprised by some of the politics in here. A few hours ago I was reading posts about peopel trying to get YA to shut down Polls and Surveys because it is too easy to get points in here.

Points??!!??? What do you *do* with points anyway??
Can you buy food with them? Put gas in the car?

I racked up some points just to see what all the fuss was about. As it turns out, nothing. Beautiful women didn't throw themselves at my feet, it rained here today, but it didn't rain money.. I still have a cowlick and one windshield wiper makes noise. So points didn't do me any good..

But I was amazed at how serious some people take this point stuff. And how much time they must spend on here to reach something they called 'leaderboard'.

Like any other forum, it's going to get some mindless fun traffic. Trying to stop that would be like shovelling excrement against the tide.

A certain percentage of the population is mentally ill. Some of them have computers. Some of them answer questions on Yahoo! Answers.

I got a message from someone once who said they thought their answer was the best. I didn't, and told him why. They still thought their answer was the best, even though I didn't. Some days are like that.

I actually got an email from the friend of the question asker. The asker replied to my answer, I responded, and then the friend emailed me back!

Sounds like she's got too much time on her hands. (And what sort of immoral response could you have given to a bowling question, for crying out loud?)

I asked a question once, and someone told me it was "not my business". (Isn't this place "anything goes"???)

Wow, how pathetic someone takes this site so seriously to go through such effort. I actually feel sorry for the sad little soul that wrote that.
