I'm sure her parents don't want her wearing them because she's so young, and that's a good idea. No they don't hurt if you put them in correctly. But really think about waiting.

honestly there are different fitting tampons for everyones body type so with that said, yes some can hurt or feel uncomfortable. i have been using tampons since i was 16 and im 24 now. i have found that the kotex plastic applicators work for me. the cardbord ones tend to be a little uncomfortable and the ones that dont have an applicator i dont even bother with.

I wore pads for years. My roommates in college are the ones that got me to start wearing them. I started out wearing the smaller ones. They were a little hard to get in and out first but I got used to them. Something that really helps is to put KY jelly or something similar on the end of the tampon before inserting. I hope this helps.

I wouldnt recommend using tampons to a young teen. But as long as she uses a small size, no bigger than regular, and changes it at least every 2 hours, she should be fine. I would use a brand like tampax pearl or playtex gentle glide. Plastic applicators are easier to slide in, and those brands are more comfortable than most others.

I wouldn't say they hurt unles syou break your hymen when you're putting one in, but most hymens stretch enough to let one past. They may be uncomfortable to put in the first time or two, but you get used to it and they are totally worth it, tampons are soooo much better than pads.
Her parents don't want her to wear them because the don't want her to ake a decision she may regret later, if it does in fact break her hymen, but who cares about hymens. They don't care about her comfort because it doesn't bother them. If she wants to try tampons to swim or because she thinks they'll be more comfortable than big bulky pads then she should be able to make that decision for herslef.

No it doesn't hurt.
But it's going to be difficult to hide. She'll need money to buy them with and eventually someone will notice a wrapper in the waste basket. And how will she explain it if for any reason the toilet clogs when she flushes one?
If she would need to hide it, she should talk to her parents--or at the very least her mother--and explain why she would be more comfortable with that option instead of pads.

They don't hurt, but be careful how you insert them. Make sure you take a shower after taking them out. You have to be very clean or you could get an yeast infection. It good to wear tampons when you go swimming, very convenient for swimming.

no, it doesn't. it feels a little uncomfotable putting them in, but if she follows the instructions on the box she will be fine. oh, and as for her mom and dad: tell them they are completely safe and allows the girl to particpate more freely in activites while on her period (swimming, sports, etc.) if they're worried about the tampon "taking away their daughter's virginty" (sounds wierd, but my grandma is afriad of this as well), tell them there's nothing to worry about.
