Sweetie your Question and explanation touched me deeply, I am so very sorry that some of My Christian Brothers or Sisters gave you such a bad taste for Christians in general.Please know that God is always watching and.will take those offenders to task. Unfortunately there are some Christians who are so Heavenly minded to the point of being of no Earthly good. God has a way of "shelving them" or he simply plucks them out of this world. So you see God does care about you, he loves all of his children even the ones who Haven't fully grown in their Christian walk. WE never graduate or become Professional Christians we are still very fallible, so please do do look for perfection. Understand that not all Christians obtain spiritual maturity at the same time.No more than you went from 6months old to 10 yrs, old overnight.I tell you these things to hopefully give you more understanding and compassion. Again I am so sorry and Hope you will give God another chance,

I try not to but there is a person at work that I have to stay away from or I'll get very condescending.
