dark periods of time in our lives. Periods of time that we can't wait to be over. What was your dark period, and how did you get out of it?

My grandmother's death only a few months ago. She rasied me and the loss is still a dark area for me.

My dark period lasted for about 6 years after a bad break up. I think I just woke up and realized that I need to just move on, and that day forward I was out of the dark period. The thing that kept me in there was the fact that I made the dark period a "comfort zone," and escaping from it took a little courage...but once out, it was a new beginning.

When I was a young lad, I had me heart broken by a longtime gf. I buried my head in work and as time passed, the pain just went away. Not a fade, really; more like it just vanished one day. A great period of happiness followed!

I left my husband on August 3, 2005. I still miss him. It's still dark. Time is the only answer.

i think you may already know. it took a long time. maybe 3 years to start back to me. my dark period came right out of the blue and took me so by suprise. i think that is why

Truthfully, I believe I'm still in one. It started when I found out some things about my ex, and I just didn't know what to do. Thankfully, I have my friends, both here, and where I live to keep me grounded. Without them, I'd be lost.

Going through a divorce for a second time.
Once I finally realized that I didn't have to be married in order to be happy, I went on with my life.

it feels more liek people have been the dark in my life ⥠until i cen get away from those certain people, they well always be there to reopen the wounds
