If you're going to be running a heater and filtration pump 24-7, then 220vac is definitely the way to go. It will save you a lot of money on your electric bill each month. If you're only going to be running a pump, lights, etc. while you're in the pool, then 120v might be better since you won't have the added expense of paying an electrician for the install. Still, I'd vote for the 220.

22Ov uses less energy to do the work.
