Yahoo is unable to process your request. Please try again later. (This is what Yahoo error 999 means).

Wait a few minutes and try again.

I am beginning to think that Yahoo is censoring some of the content in answers. Last night I tried to post an answers with a link to a website. The Error 999 kept appearing when I Submitted the answers. As soon as I deleted the link and any reference to the site, the answer posted normally.

I read many posts on Answers and the Yahoo Answers Suggestion Board about this error message. Until this happened to me, I thought it was only a glitch in the system. I am now becoming more convinced that Yahoo is now censoring posts from some Answers members.

I have no problem with Yahoo using a program like a Hosts file that would block posting of website links that are known bad sites. This is similar to what the Restricted Zone in IE does. This will do much to stop the infections some are getting from links posted by Trolls.

But, I do have a problem if Yahoo is censoring posts because they do not comply with Yahoo's ideas of Political Correctness.

It's been happening intermittently, I've gotten it several times already, the first time was yesterday.

It seems if you post a URL with either Google, YouTube or most other Google sites, you get the 999 error page when you hit the "submit" button. Whenever I took out the Google reference, it would work fine. Is that what happened with you?

I posted about this earlier today, here:

Each time it happened I was using Firefox, version 2.0.0.4 on Linux.
