would the fairness doctrine be a handicap for liberal democrats where they have to put a law that states that there be half the time that Conservative get? If it does pass and will be law would there be a riot over this?

Regardless of who "wins" or "loses" if the Fairness Doctrine is re-enacted, it is wrong.

It is taking away the first amendment rights, and the companies who own these stations rights.

Air America failed because they were a socialist mouthpiece. AMerica rejects socialism outright and therefore there were NO LISTENERS.

Apparently other programs are doing well financially, some call these programs conservative.

SO that begs the question, does this mean that AMerica is conservative and that is why these programs are doing well, or perhaps it is because AMerica see these programs as something different than the lies they get on other venues.

In either case these programs do well because the socialist agenda is not being accepted.

Air America failed and Conservative Talk Radio succeeded because of the free market. It's what the people want. Not enough people listened to Air America. I'm not saying that people are all conservative...it's just that the talk radio audience leans conservative. There are many liberal people out there who don't care for talk radio, even from a liberal viewpoint . Liberals tend to watch cable news, network news, read newspapers and get news from the internet much more than listen to talk radio. Conservatives on the otherhand probably get less news from the internet, and are more likely to listen to talk radio. If a conservative blog popped up on the internet and you were to compare it to a liberal blog in popularity, you might see the same situation with the ideologies reversed.

As for a fairness doctrine...hell no. That's a violation of free speech and a restriction on the free market. That's just as if a dictator forced the media to split up networks that opposed him and provided guaranteed media outlets that supported him.

Could say the same thing about television for Conservatives.

Do you know about National Empowerment Television? Founded by Paul Weyrich and other social conservatives. It was never self sufficient and needed constant intervention from outside sources. It became a flop in a matter of just a couple of years.

on condition that they had an fool like like Al Franken working the teach, Limbaugh, Hannity and the others, all have help and sponsors who purchase airtime to have their classified ads heard on their courses through fact they be responsive to they have a huge listening aim audience. the final opposite of what Franken had, the only element Franken sees is the Senate seat, the place he can start to roll interior the greenbacks with greed and corruption. With Franken, Reid, Pelosi, and Burris, it relatively is going to be a miracle of any artwork is complete interior the Senate as they push their puppy initiatives for his or her District Pelosi their Capo is already interior the lead with 30 million she shanghaied, interior the stimulus equipment for a uncommon mouse in her district. Franken knew he would get greater as a Senator then he ever would at Air usa. it relatively is a frightening concept with Franken through take a Senate seat any day, the Democratic Mafia is heavily observing the courtroom to work out what they'll come to a type on the Cole Franken lawsuit. Franken desperate to decide for the Senate after it recognized no longer likely that he would get a stimulus examine to pay his earnings at Air usa, the place interior the Senate, he ought to get beef barrel funds for his own own use, after he identifies a desire in his district.

Enough people listen to and buy the products advertised on "Conservative Talk Radio" for it to be a commercial success. No one listened to or bought the products advertised on "Air America" so it was not commercially viable.
If you have to force your opinion on people by rule of law something is definitely not right. Of course, that's always been the socialist way of doing things - the use of force to take away an opponent's voice.

Probably because liberals have better things to do with their time than listen to hate spewing on the radio.
Most people I know, don't even listen to the radio, and aren't going to buy CDs of partisan bickering.
SUUURE that is what i want to do after a long day of listening to people bicker back and forth at the office...turn on the radio and listen to more bickering...NOT!

Blah, blah, blah, because liberals can make up their own mind, you hear this mantra so often it's like all these mindless liberal robots are part of the Borg. They all repeat it so often, almost word for word, it's ironic that it's not clear to them they are most definetly not independent or original thinkers.
Air America failed because most Americans are not part of the collective, we're free to listen to whatever we like, and we were not assimilated by our liberal teachers, professors, or the majority of the media. Now that liberals discovered how powerfull the opposition will be to their attempt to regain absolute control over everything we see and hear they will retreat to their lair to consider how they can put lipstick on this pig.

Because conservartives tend to be good on playing on people's emotions and R actually funny as well sometimes.I think that's where the liberals have a hard time doing, especially with media mediums like radio or t.v. where they are not excatly ideal places for the human intellect

This has absolutely nothing to do with politics. I listened to Air America a few times just out of curiosity. I was embarrassed for the hosts. There was dead air, awkward pauses, very few insightful comments (mostly juvenile name-calling), and an overall giant void of talent. It really was awful radio.

It's a way to cripple the conservative movement! To make it fair for the liberal pansies! If the American people choose in a free market to listen to conservative talk radio, then that's the way it should be! We don't need government censorship to make the market fair!

Just look at the liberal bed wetter above me, Josh! I bet he sucked at sports and had to have liberal intervention so he could get his unearned medal!
