i have been on Depo for 5 years or so.

i have not had a "monthly visitor" since before my first shot

the weight gain happened for about 6 months but then it stopped and regular exercize got rid of it

one shot every three months .... or one pill every day? hmmmmmm which one am i more likely to forget?

i can "nookie" my fiancee whenever i want without worrying about what might happen if the rubber falls off

just remember to talk to your doc about your worries, it'll make you feel better and help you with your choice. make sure you take calcium pills too because long term use of depo can result in a loss of bone density.

i've got nothing but good things to say about Depo but that's just me. if you decide to give it a try make sure you give it a few shots because your body needs time to adjust to it after that the negative stuff will stop or at the very least get to be less.

Not really. The ONLY two positives are no period and a shot every three months.

I did not have a period at all while on the depo shot for four years. I did have a lot of negative side affects though.

I would really reconsider the shot.

Every woman is different, so you may have a positive outcome, BUT a majority of women are affected negatively by this shot. Enough that there are class action lawsuits agains Pfizer for what it does to them!

You CAN still get pregnant on the shot, I know two people personally who have, even after taking it when they should.

I wish you good health on this shot.
