Besides clearing traces of adults sites that you have visisted, have you ran your antivirus software, because you may have a virus. If you don't have one here is an excellent free one

Here is an excellent free antivirus program from AOL, Active Virus Shield powered by Kaspersky Lab of Russia. Rated # 1 in the world for virus detection. You will get auto updates every hour on the hour, plus an excellent background scanner that really works great. AOL, will only ask you for your email so they can send you a free key good for one year. After one year just request a new key.

You can go to your IE tool bar, open "Tools", open, Internet Options, and clean your history, temp. files, and cookies.

You can go to start, search and type in "jpg", and see if you have any porno photos in your system, delete them if you do.

Here is an excellent free cleaner that I use that will clean your junk off the HDD, and also fix issues with your registry and back the issue fixed to your documents.

Just know that the porno data will always be on your HDD, as it is impossible to remove with any software that claims the can wipe the data clean. The only way is to remove the disk and beat it to death with a hammer. No forensic computer expert can strip data from a HDD, hit with a hammer.

Google "Spybot Search and Destroy". Also "AdAware".

Dowload them -- they are free AND trusted. You can pay for the more fancy versions, but the basic free versions will do what you need for now.

USE them. Update them when it asks you to do so. You may never see that annoying message again. That message IS an AD, and it will tell you that you've been to embarrassing sites even if you haven't. They rely on the fact that at some point or another, a lot of people DO visit adult sites, even if they're just chat sites. In certain parts, Yahoo Answers could be considered "adult", lol.

So DO realize that it's a LIE, and they won't give you anything but MORE adbots on your PC for your $$.

Not the trusting type? Then google: Spybot and AdAware info etc. You'll love what you read.

Good Luck... :)

porn popups comes from the website that you visited, especially the tgp "thumb guided pages", esp those that takes you to third party sites.

You can download a free lavasoft ad-aware anti-spyware/adware program at download.com, or you can do what the above person told you...go to tools > internet options or delete browsing history and delete cookies, delete files and history...you can check to see whether the webpages you had visited are gone or still there simply by clicking on the tools > history. if your history is still there you must try deleting stuff over and over again.

Another way to not let people know the sites that you have visited is simply by turning the "autocomplete" off. simply by going to Internet Options > choose the Content tab and where it says Autocomplete click the Settings button and then simply uncheck where it says Web Addresses. This way, when other ppl use your computer and they type in an address none of your old addresses will show up

I guess it would depend on who you are trying to "Hide your trail from". If you don't want a typical mom dad or spouse to know. the cookies, Temp internet and history on search and adddress would be good enough. If from the authorities.
Sucks to be you. the Minute you hit a site the gov. can pull the IP address for 90 days.
