Would anyone recommend Norton or McAfee. Which provides better filtering capabilities?

Actually trend is pretty good.

Are you sure you have your filters set correctly? If you are not filtering all you want just send Trend Support a note.. they are very responsive and usually can get your system to do what you want!

They beat Norton and McAfee!

Your browser provides the basic pop up blocker that you need. Make sure it is on by going to tools/option
turn on pop-up blocker.

Now if pop-ups appear it means your PC is infected of Spywares, You need to remove them;

Check AVG free Spyware remover here :http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

Remember don't go to risky websites like free downloading sites , porn site and sharing files sites. These areas are high risk to catch viruses and trojans as well as invasive Spywares.

Email me if you have more questions.

Good luck

I rememmber that newest Netscape had that "Trust" settings, just set the trust to negative and instead of viewing it, it shows a warning page, I know that Kaspersky Internet Security Suite had page block too.

What are you trying to accomplish - blocking domains that are spamming you? blocking web site addresses that have offensive content? None of them are bullet proof at either job.
