Is there something wrong about this? If one working PC broke, how I should do?
I have only one cable and modem and I am trying to switch the LAN cable one PC to the another..
I am not so good at English conversation, so I ask this here.

Buy a router, it will be easier to connect to both at once.
And check out the tutorials here:

A router is needed. You connect the router's WAN port to the modem's RJ45 port. Check with the router maker as you may need a cross CAT5 cable in place of a straight cable.

Connect each pc to a LAN port of the router via straight CAT5 cable.

Configure the router following the directions of the maker. The cable provider is providing a dynamic IP so configure the WAN port for a dynamic IP. Configure your LAN ports to provied LAN IP addresses via DHCP.

If you buy a wireless router, configure the router using a cable to link the router to the pc. If you buy wireless you will also need wireless network card for each pc you wish to link wirelessly.
