My spouse and I are both Mexican and got married in Mexico. Can we get divorced in the U.S. or do we need to go back to Mexico to get divorced?

If you have established residency in the city and state for the length of time required (ask at the courthouse) you may apply for divorce in the United States. If you haven't established residency and don't intend to, then return to Mexico to file for divorce.

my brother got married in mexico and divorced in the USA...HE was living in the usa as a resident alien, along with his wife and children. His wife divorced him in the USA, even has to pay child support and has restrictions to see his children.... hope this helps.

Dont know if the lawyer was from -but it was in texas.

Yes and no.

If you immigrated and are legally in the US, yes, you can get your divorce in the US.

If you are not legally in th US the legalities are messy... and you are better off going back to have the divorce in Mexico.

You are Mexican by your own accord. Go back to Mexico to take care of your issues and stay there.

You can get a divorce anywhere. Just go see a lawyer.
