I am halfway there. I believe he is the most talented pitcher to come to this city in the last 20 yrs. He does have very good mound presence and while his fastball is around 95-96 his stride to the plate is so long hes throwing it from about 9 inches closer than the average pitcher. Which believe it or not does make quite a difference.
However im not completely sold. He is still struggling with his 2nd and 3rd pitches. He cant locate his change. At all. It doesnt come close, and his curve goes from nasty to a hanger begging to be destroyed out of the T-ball field they play in. I was at his first game and he threw 110 pitches by the 5th inning. His control being an issue there. And its not big league jitters either, im sure that was an issue but looking at his minor league stats they had him on a pitch count around 100 and he was almost never passed the 6th most often through 5. He did settle down and domintated the As two three nights ago, that was a very good effort, but again if you watched him throw the As just couldnt catch up to his fastball and eventually that will come with facing him more. His change was constantly off. And his curve was in the dirt a little to often to be effective. That said, he did throw a few curves that were just unhittable in the 6th. They were sick.
He def has the potential to be a franchise changing pitcher. But the reds need much more than that. Starting with firing that a**clown Narron and shipping Dunns lard somewhere.

As a Yankee fan, I would have to say the kid got some stuff he averaged over 10 strikeouts per 9 innings for all of his minor league teams. Hes also the best pitcher in your farm system so he got potential. If he becomes good the Reds are a team on the rise with Haraang and Bailey.

I believe Homer Bailey has a great career ahead of him. Too bad it will not affect this year's standings, but I think that if the Reds start to build around him and Harang, then they can get better down the road.

I am if you're looking for a good year, this year and maybe next. The way his "stuff" is, I think he'll be good for a little while, but hitters will catch on eventually.
