Yes or No? In practically every movie I see women & children exploiting themselves (sad) - Every movie has cigarettes, booze, and the like. And the movies out like Die Hard are making Americans look stupid. Not to mention all the other movies that make Americans look stupid, greedy, slothful, addictied, they have the house the kids and make the Dad look like an idiot. They make movies to sell you sex, drugs, and a style of clothing, along with a education on how to disrespect people. Hollywood and their Stars ... Make Americans look like complete idiots!
Survival of the fittest does not include lots of sex (aids) smoking whatever (dope head) and disprespecting men, women, and children.
I know it's Friday lighten up ... I just can't help saying this ... Your going to regret getting involved with the Dumbing Down ... so go ahead get drunk, have sex, and get divorced, work too much and have your kid molested, smoke your dope ... dope!

There are movies which do not portray the lifestyles that you are describing. They are mostly not mainstream Hollywood movies like -Facing The Giants-Left Behind. We live in a country that is media driven. Media promotes sex, violence, vulgarity, disrespect, drugs etc. We have bought into their hype for so long that we have become desensitized to the onslaught of garbage being put forth as entertainment and which may also still be perceived by other countries as the norm.

I was watching a 3 stooges movie with a friend from singapore. She asked me if that's how americans were in the 30s & 40s. I told her yeah, and good thing the germans were like on hogan's heros or we never would've won WWII. There seem to be a lot of foreigners who take movies/tv waaaaay too seriously.

I don't know what the heck you are talking about-not all American movies are like that at all! You don't seem to like us Americans very much, its too bad because most of us are very nice people .
