It never hurts to look around, particularly after a monster year. And it's easy to guess Alex could be happier elsewhere.
I'm guessing he opts out.

A-Rod is only so he probably will opt out of his contract for more money. He is having a monster season and he will ask for more money and if the yankees wont grant his wishes some other team will

Anyone in their right mind plays for the Yankees to get a big contract. You don't leave the Yanks to get a big contract. Besides, if you want a championship, why go anywhere else?

He will leave the Yankees after this year...and it won't be about money. He needs to be loved and that's not going to happen in NY. IMHO, he came to the Yankees hoping/expecting to displace Jeter as the most beloved Yankee player and, as we can see, he SERIOUSLY overestimated his potential in that area. Oh well...come end of the 2007 season, it will be "See ya, A-Rod, wouldn't wanna be ya!"

I think he won't retire as a yankee but might stay in New York for a couple more years.

My guess is that he will end his career with another team-- and if the Yankees don't make the play-offs in 2007, I would not be surprised if a move happens next year.

A-Rod has stated if he would have to leave new york he would rather die. So unless something bad happens he might remain a Yankee or by a slim chance a Met.

Everyone is saying he will opt out he may to get an even bigger contract. They are saying if he does he will want the range of 8yr 240 million! and there is someone out there who will pay it.
