the easiest solution is to not let any smoker do their thing in your SUV.
but once it's there, like all hotels,motels,etc...
it really stinks. even going to a nightclub , 2nd hand smoke can really stink up your sweater, never mind your own skin.
but if it's already there, i find that if you use a damp towel
mixing lavender scent in a big mug of water,
and then wiping the seats, jacket,etc...
it can help "reduce" the smell.
it won't get rid of it, it's like the lungs of a smoker..
there's no other way to keep it clean, except NOT
to do it .
but the towel in lavendar can help reduce the smell.
perharps if you keep applying this daily, it could eventually go away. but as i said, the best thing is not to smoke, or let a smoker stink up your SUV.
tell them to wait till they're out of the SUV to smoke.
it's not like they HAVE TO smoke. if so, it's like they're so addicted to nicotine. YUCK!

Keep windows down. Get a car wash, stop smoking in it and put a box of fabric softner sheets around the car. That sounds weird but it absorbs odors. Put in trunk, pockets behind seats, under the driver and passenger sheet and wherever that can conceil the sheet but show effectiveness.

I know this sounds crazy but I have worked in the auto industry for years. Take 6 to 8 apples and cut them in half and put them in the front and rear floor boards. Leave them there for 3 or 4 days. They will turn brown but that is okay. It really does work.

Get an odor neutralizer, not just air freshener. It will get rid of it. Spray the carpets pretty good.
