is it schools, military, prisons, highway etcc...

were does most of it go, is there any website that tells me this information?

At the federal level most (over half) goest to social services (Social Security, Medicare, Retirement, Veteran payments, direct payments to disabled Americans, and other "social services.")

37% goes to Social Security, Medicare, and Federal Retirement programs;
24% goes to National Defense, Veterans and Foriegn Affairs;
20% goes to Social Programs (more social services);
10% goes to physical, human and community development;
7% goes to net interest on the Federal Debt;
2% goes to law enforcement and the general government.

the majority of money goes to entitlement programs military spending and ear marks from a federal prospective and from the state it goes to highways schools and government employees wages.

a very large portion of it goes into salaries for government employees, and their pensions. that does not include living former congress people who receive their salary for life. After that it is divided into military (non salary), social programs, foreign aid, education, etc. to answer your question at this point in time I would have to say the largest portion will be military funding with the ongoing wars in Iraq, and Afghanistan.

go to google and type in "where does tax money go for your state" as far as federal no one knows , there is no such report I am aware of that details how it is spent . That is an excellent question with no concrete answer , this is why most politicians are crooks

Most of it goes to Haliburton. But I believe the rest of it goes for huntnig trips in Louisiana...
