My porcelain bathtub was refinished and it is all peeling off.
What is the best way to remove it? Is there a product that will dissolve it? A razor blade scraper is taking forever. THANKS

If someone spent the time/money to have to "old" finish covered up ,there was probably something wrong with it. So after all your work you very well still have an ugly tub! Maybe you can pull it out and replace without tearing up the whole bathroom. Any chemical strong enough to strip that coating is probably not something you want to mess with! There are companies like Bath Fitter etc that can cover up the old tub, but its probably expensive.

I suppose you could use a grinding wheel on a drill to remove it, but it would probably end up making a huge dusty mess and may also damage the original tub finish. I don't envy you taking on this task, messy and very time consuming! Be careful using a razor blade, porcelain finishes are slippery and you could cut yourself so always work with it going away from yourself!
