I downloaded an OEM CD (for the Dell), and want to use my legitimate serial numbers from Dell (Official MS Sticker on the side of cabinet).

How do I install this CD? So far this CD looks like a normal copy of Windows XP, no Dell logos or prompts.

There is a $OEM$ folder with batch files and stuff, but I have no clue on how to make those work.

I'd advise not to load all the dell crap on it, this may explain why your laptop crashed and burned last time and you're in the process of doing a fresh install. One of the things you may need to do is enter your bios and change the boot order to CD/DVD instead of hard drive. If you just want to repair your last install go to the link I provide below to help yourself out.
