All cars will send white smoke at the beginning of start up it is from condensation, Moisture that builds up naturally but usually dissipates and the exhaust heats up. After two years I would expect allot to have built up and would see what happens after a few days of running. Next option is how does it run? If a little rough could be moisture in the gas, and or carb, put in a bottle of STP to be sure cheap check, and good for the internals

My moms lumina did the same thing. What we were told to do by the local mechanics shop was to run the car completely out of gas with the A.C. running than fill the tank with premium fuel and it took our smoking problem right away. Afterwards we used normal unleaded and it worked for us. we have a 96 lumina 3.1

How long did you let it run for,if it sat for a long time it's possible that the exhaust has water buildup from condensation, let it run for an hour or so or take it for a good run to burn it off.

It could be evaporating all of the condensate that has built up in the fuel tank, engine, and exhaust
