My husband and I have been trying to conceive a baby. I wanted to know if you can safely get into shape after becoming pregnant (during pregnancy)?

Ok, how do you only gain one pound while pregnant? Anyways, before you conceive, you could start getting into shape. Then after you get pregnant you can continue to work out. I'm 5 months and I work out three days a week. Good luck!

Well dont try and get a six pack while pregnant! Obviously. But some women who start exercising during pregnancy come out on the other side feeling a bit better about them selves. Just make sure you are doing a light work out like walking.. or swimming. And still eating right and enough for you and baby!

You can get in better aerobic shape at any time unless you are on bedrest. A lot of gals use pregnancy exercise tapes. Be sure to get a fairly recent one because recommendations change, but it sure helps to be in better shape so you aren't huffing/puffing so bad.

Only if you are working out before I suppose. I have a friend who works out every day and when pregnant she just continued but under lighter routines. She looked and still does look awesome!

Don't know about getting in shape when your belly is expanding but it is possible to loose weight....i gained one pound in my last pregnancy....and that was in my last week! Wouldn't recommend it though....

not into really toned shape, but you can exercise while pregnant, just don't overstress your body.
