If you sustain an injury or any kind of trauma during rough sexual intercourse, you could experience vaginal pain. If you suspect you have an injury, you should abstain till it heals.

If the pelvic pain you are having involves pain during sex, cramping, and intermittent fevers, it could be pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). As a rule, all sexually active women should get tested for STDs every 6 months with Paps and pelvic exams every year. Prolonged infections can cause PID. If you haven't been examined lately, you should go for it.
