how many times would you take your car back to the dealer when the car is under warrenty when the service enegine light keeps comming on.

They aren't fixing the problem, they are simply turning off the light.

If you purchased the car new, they typically have 3 chances to fix the problem before you can go after them with "lemon" laws.

I would take it back once only tell them off and tell them to do it right. If it still happened I would get an independent report done and send it to their boss. If that didn't work I would call trading standards and call the press... I work in customer service and do a damn fine job of it I give it 100% all the time and expect no less when I pay for a service.I never was like that until I worked in customer service. Warning do not mess I have high standards and I know the law!

in the owners books there are phone numbers to call if your not getting results from the dealership. then you got the lemon law (kinda depends on the prob.) but it varys from state to state. you may also try a different dealership, even with all the high tech tools in the world, things are ultimatley as good as the tech thats using them.

As many times as it takes to get it fixed right. Not sure how many times the vehicle has to be brought in to get the lemon law started. Next time you bring it in just threaten the lemon law on them and I bet it gets fixed right.

if they can not fix it the first time i would look for another dealership
