I came over his house this morning only to find him sitting on his couch passed out, with a Dio DVD playing on the T.V. Beer bottles, and cans strewn about, and ants all over the table!! I hate ants!!! I gotta pick him up from work in about an hour and a half... Should I leave it dirty to have him clean it, or should I?

If it were me I'd probably clean it. Only because I know he won't do it and I have to hang out there. I would expect something in return....and I don't mean s.e.x. because we all know he will give that to you...I mean a nice romantic dinner, or a night to the movies only you get to pick the movie. Ask him for a box of NON-WHITE chocolate. ; )

Let him clean up, what is he a child! A mess of beer bottles is one thing but ants all over is another. If you clean up this disgraceful mess he will expect it all the time. Yes it is nice to help out one another, you could make bed, wash dishes, straighten up but this sounds like above and beyond the call of duty!
I just ran through all the answers and noticed most of the men said clean the mess while most of the women said not to-- division of the sexes?

How can you pick him up from work in 1 1/2 hrs if he is passed out on the couch with the TV on?
Anyhow, no you do not clean his house. Mum always told me to start as you mean to continue, so if you wanna keep cleaning up his mess for the rest of your relationship than by all means clean away......for me it's a no! :)

Have you ever cleaned up for him before? If so, he may expect it again. If not, what would his reaction be if you did? I always try to think of what the response may be, sort of like a Lawyer... in court never ask a question unless you know what the answer will be. Anyway, it will be fun to see his reaction either way. Have fun.

It would be a nice surprise if you cleaned his place. However, I wouldn't make a habit of it. If he starts making a mess again, talk to him about it, saying that you cleaned his place in hopes that he would keep it that way, because it looks better clean. Don't make it sound like your his mother though.

No. It is his personal space. And if he leaves it dirty, then it is not a problem for him. Some men feel that women who clean their apartments are being intrusive.

It depends on your man, though. He may be delighted. Who knows? But be cautious.

Unless the DVDs, beers, and ants are yours, you shouldn't. It's his house and his responsibility. Would one of his buddies clean it for him? No? Then why should you?

he should clean his own mess.
Girl my best friend cleans her boyfriends car almost every week and he gets it dirty cuz he knows she'll clean it.
It's truly not worth it.
He should take responsibility for his actions.

Are you crazy? If you clean up after a pig they will never clean up after themselves! Do you want him to treat you like your his mother? The guy should have some self respect anyway. Let him do it.
