No. The main message is how hard it is to be a parent. Pregnancy only lasts for 9 months and if they dont realize how hard it is to BE a real parent, they wont look past the 9 months. They'll just assume everything goes back to normal after they give birth.

I think that is a great idea!!! Actually I think they should have to wear them for 2 weeks and right after that they should be given the fake baby dolls. I wonder how one would go about trying to set up something like that in a school system?

I think it'd be more effective making them look pregnant with a lock on the back, drink exlax, eat something to make them vomit every day, and have the belly weigh round about what a normal pregnancy weighs. And then try to find a job, meet guys, and cute clothes. After a week or two send them home with the babies. Yup...

I don't think it's gonna matter. My grandaughter just graduated, went to her prom and class day pregnant! All her friends acted like this was the best thing that ever happened to her. She chose a prom gown with a sash around her belly to make her look bigger. I told her it would be better to get something that covered up the fact that she was 7 1/2 months along and she said, "I don't care! I'm not ashamed and you shouldn't be trying to embarrass me." She graduated today and they were taking pics of her and her friend SIDEWAYS...sticking out their bellies. I guess it's a big thing now. She's going to college in January (If she doesn't get preg again. (sigh)

I think they should add that in addition to the doll. Let them do the entire experience. Also, I think the guys should have to do something. Seem like it's only teaching the girls. I know we had both options when I took Child Development in High School, but the entire class were girls. How are we going to teach the guys? Hmmm.......good idea though!!

how about both in the correct order...that should tire them out enough to be birth control
one of our friends signed his teen son to be a counselor at a summer day camp with a group of 10 seven year old boys...he was so exhausted at the end of the day and long before the end of the summer the dad declared it a successful birth control

i think that is an awesome idea!! but they could always take them off when they get home; youd need a way to make sure they dont change out of the suit after school! at least the dolls, you cant turn them off!! hehe! if there was a way to make sure the suits didnt come off, i think its an awesome idea and spread the word!!

That might actually cut down on a lot of teen pregnancies!! Good idea! Now you should spread the word to someone higher up that can make the difference :) Goodluck....and again great idea! I agree 100%

If they want to go out and open there legs than they are going to, regardless, if they have a real baby for a month and the belly. Teens don't learn until it's to late. So no I don't think it would be effective to teens!

PERFECT. Im 19 and i have a 4 month old. (im married too.. before we knew i was pregnant.) but i wish i would have had that happen to me. If i would have known how hard it was to find a comfortable position with a baby kicking all your insides out.then i wouldnt have wanted to "play house" so bad. but now i have a 4 month old daughter and shes perfect. Wouldnt trade her for anything in the world. just wish i could have waited until i was done being young and spending alone time with my husband before i brought her into this.
