I doubt it. After the French and Indian wars end in 1763, England emerged as the only colonial power in north America. After the war, the french were never again considered a threat to the English colonies. By this time, most all of the new world was already colonized. the trade triangle and Colombian exchange were in full force. This would suggest that there were no more areas open to colonization. Also, during the French Revolution, the empire was in chaos, further expansion would have been easily crippled by Britain or the fledgling united states who were both at a de facto state of war with France. The French colony of New Orleans and Louisiana was sold to the united states by Napoleon. this evidence points to France not wishing any further expansion.

It will never happen.
When the Quebec people found out that they would lose all their government benefits they decided not to leave.
Canada would not pay retirement or other benefits to Quebec. Quebec would also have to rebuild their education and health care programs. They would have buildings but would lose teachers, doctors, and other professionals.
It would be an incredibly expensive decision that will never happen.
