Especially the tongue in cheek questions that are obviously a joke. Some people respond with so much sincerity you wonder if they have any sense of humor. Maybe after listening to Hanity and Rush for so long they lose a sense of themselves. Poor little lemings!

You are right, they are always good for a laugh. I think the tongue in cheek thing goes over the head of the lemmings. No critical thinking or analytical skills, just tell them what they think.

Was that supposed to be tongue in cheek, or abrasive and insulting? Most folks, left and right, are thinking folks, and don't respond well to name calling and insults. Ideologies can be extremely different and one side may find the others ideas incomprehensible to the point of being downright stupid. Nevertheless, civility is necessary if compromise is the end goal.
