I don't find Chris Rock to be anything but sarcastic, cynical, and negative. On the other hand, I admire the fact that Martin Lawrence is always himself and NOT afraid to laugh at himself. The only movies I remember Chris Rock being in are "New Jack City" "Beverly Hills Ninja" and "Pootietang" (forgive me if I'm forgetting some, they obviously weren't big standouts) But Martin Lawrence was hilarious in "Big Momma" , "Black Knight" (is that the right title?) "Bad Boys" "Wild Hogs" "Life" "Boomerang" and more.

Martin Lawrence can be funny and has the funny faces (that crack up the kids),..but he is nowhere near as clever, smart or funny as Chris Rock. Nor is he anywhere near as acclaimed and accomplished.

Martin Lawrence. His facial expressions, just crack Me up. My favorite used to be Sam Kennison.there was no sacred ground with Him. He would laugh at anything.

I would not pay to see neither one of them to do stand up comedy, but I would pay to see martin act like big mamma..
