It's an extremely tough job because of the owner's interference. I would hope that Andy MacPhail could protect the new manager and let everyone get to work, but it's not exactly the best job in baseball.
Then again, there are only 30 of those jobs out there, and someone will think he can turn things around.

There are 30 manager jobs in the major leagues. There are ~6,602,224,175 people in the world. Given those odds, I wouldn't turn down a job managing any team.
Not everyone can manage the Red Sox.

I would take the job in a heartbeat. That would be my one and only chance to be in a major league dugout. Even if they said it was for one game and you won't be paid, I'd be on the next plane to Baltimore. Any average joe that says they wouldn't take the job if it was offered is either nuts or has a whole lot of something else goin' for 'em.

well the Os are in the same division as the red sox and the yanks, so winning the division would be very dificult. the jays and the rays have some pretty good talent also. however, if you like a challenge it would be a good oppurtunity. the orioles are a pretty classy organization with a lot of talent.

Yes. They gave Joe Giradi no room to work with. He basically would have been Angelos's puppet.
It's impossible to manage and make a team better when the owner wants to call all the shots from is office.

I'd say hell yea. I don't care if they suck. The pay would be great and you're a major league coach. Do an okay job you just might get a better job.
